About Us

We are Diana and Ezequiel, a young couple passionate about travelling, meeting people and discovering new places and cultures. Many years after our first journey, having our backpacks full of experiences, we feel that the time has come to share with you what gave us so much delight and satisfaction during our journeys. In this way we passionately set up our traveler's refuge.
Extremo Sur Hostel is located on a typical narrow paving and quiet street in the historical neighbourhood called San Telmo, just 100 metres from Lezama Park, the place where Buenos Aires was founded for the very first time. Here and there you can see a special mixture of tango, history, memories, fairs, antique dealers and exciting nightlife. The most distinctive and attractive places are situated within walking distance, including the Obelisk, Plaza de Mayo, Plaza Dorrego, 9 de Julio Avenue, Puerto Madero, La Boca, and the pedestrian only Florida street.
The Hostel has a 21 bed capacity. Thanks to this, we can be aware of every single detail, paying attention to all of your needs; and you can enjoy a relaxed place for getting to know travelers like you. We offer dorms with individual lockers inside, as well as private rooms. Breakfast is included in our rates. Bathrooms are shared, new and clean, with 24 hour hot water availability. And the most remarkable thing is that here you will find people from all over the world with whom you will share your lodging, your nights out, and, maybe, even your next journeys. In order to make meetings possible and easy, there are nice common spaces such as the fully equipped kitchen, living room, patio and terrace. Finally, as we know that keeping in touch with the world is an essential matter, we provide you free internet access.

How to Find Us

From Ezeiza International Airport, MInistro Pistarini:
1. Take bus number 86, get off at the intersection of Paseo Colon Avenue and Brazil Street and walk four blocks up to the hostel. It will take you about two hours.
2. Take the "Manuel Tienda León" transfer to Retiro. It will take you about 45 minutes. (Below we will tell you how to get from Retiro to the hostel).
3. Taxi. It will take you about 30 minutes.

From Aeroparque Jorge Newbery:
1. Take bus number 33 (any of the letters) get off at the intersection of Paseo Colon Avenue and Brazil Street and walk four blocks up to the hostel.
2. Take bus number 45, get off at the intersection of Chacabuco Street and Garay Avenue, and walk six blocks up to the hostel.
3. Taxi.

From Retiro Bus Station:
1. Take bus number 22 (any of the numbers) get off at the intersection of Bolivar Street and Caseros Avenue, walk one block up to the hostel.
2. Take bus number 45, get off at the intersection of Chacabuco Street and Garay Avenue, and walk six blocks up to the hostel.
3. Take the tube (blue line "C") to San Juan Station. You will have to walk ten blocks to the hostel.
4. Taxi.

From Puerto-Buquebus:
1. Take bus number 33 (any of the letters) or bus number 152. Get off at the intersection of Paseo Colon Avenue and Brazil Street and walk four blocks up to the hostel.

Things to Do around Us

Extremo Sur Hostel is located at the historical neighbourhood of San Telmo, six blocks away from Plaza Dorrego, one from Parque Lezama and fifty metres from Defensa Street, all of them outstanding points of touristic and cultural attraction. From here you can easily get to La Boca, Plaza de Mayo, Puerto Madero, the Obelisco, Recoleta, Palermo and many other interesting places.
