About Us

If you’d like to spend your Viennese holiday living in quiet and moderately priced lodgings in a central location, yet away from the city’s hustle and bustle, then we can highly recommend the 'Bag & Map' Apartments.

We offer roomy apartments (each offering a bedroom, kitchen and a brand new bathroom), as well as rooms featuring their own private bathrooms and cooking facilities.

All accommodations are in an older period residence. They have been newly renovated and some overlook a landscaped inner courtyard.

How to Find Us

If you’re arriving at the Westbahnhof (West Railway Station):
Via the Subway:
Take the U6 train heading toward 'Floridsdorf' to the very next stop, 'Stadthalle/Burggasse'. Leave the subway station via the exit marked "Ausgang Burggasse" and cross the "Gürtel" thoroughfare.
Walk along Burggasse and turn left at the first intersection (Wimbergergasse). Go to house number 31 and ring the bell for 'Bag & Map'.

If you’re arriving by bus at the 'Erdberg' Station:
Take the U3 subway toward 'Ottakring' and get off at the 'Westbahnhof' stop. There, transfer to the U6 and follow the directions for 'Via the Subway'.

If you’re arriving by train from the Südbahnhof (South Railway Station):
Take the No. 18 tram to Urbahn-Loritz Platz. Cross the "Gürtel" thoroughfare (heading toward the city center) and walk to Wimbergergasse (the first street that runs parallel to the Gürtel). At house number 31 ring the bell for 'Bag & Map'.

If you arrive at the Vienna Central Railway Station (Wien Mitte) from the Airport via the CAT Train:
Take the U3 subway to the “Westbahnhof” and follow the above description for 'Via the Subway'.

If you’re arriving by airplane at the Schwechat Airport:
Take the shuttle bus to the West Railway Station (Westbahnhof) and follow the above description for 'Via the Subway'.

If you’re arriving at the Franz-Josef’s Railway Station:
Take the No. 5 tram to the ’Neustiftgasse’ stop. Then go right, along Neustiftgasse. Take the first left and at house number 31, ring the bell for 'Bag & Map'.

Things to Do around Us

The popular shopping street, Mariahilferstraße, is a 10-minute walk away. The famous Museumsquartier (Museum Quarter)
is also close by. The West Railway Station (Westbahnhof) (where the shuttle busses depart for the airport) is only 3 minutes away by subway (U-Bahn). We are located near the Stadthalle, one of Vienna’s largest events venues. Interesting and diverse events are held here, from concerts to sporting events, exhibitions and other happenings. Not far from the Stadthalle is a large shopping center. There, you’ll be able to find everything from groceries to clothing to small gift items.
