About Us

Come & stay with us because we are cool!!! Get lost in the underground cellars, enjoy the nooks and crannies of this renovated historical house. Situated MINUTES WALK FROM ALL POINTS OF INTEREST, the Golden Sickle is your HOME AWAY FROM HOME in Prague.

You will find a relaxed atmosphere here, nice people with lots of experiences to share, NO CURFEW or lockout, FREE BREAKFAST and INTERNET access, free TOWEL service, free LOCERS and LUGGAGE storage, fully equipped kitchen on every floor, NON-STOP reception & information service, common room with cable TV, great cave BAR in the basement, quiet courtyard, and diverse nightlife around.

A complimentary MAP and DISCOUNTS for food and fun will be offered to you upon arrival as well as a short introduction to the city.

The choice of rooms varies from small shared dorm rooms to luxury private apartments. Some rooms are ensuite and have a kitchen, apartments are equipped with cable TV. There are also dorms with shared facilities and adjoined dorm rooms with shared facilities on the floor (great for bigger groups!).

Please note that bookings over Easter and New Years need to be 4 nights in minimum.

How to Find Us

Perfect Location:
Central - find us next to Wenceslas Square (Vaclavske namesti), minutes from the main train station, just a few stops from the intnl. bus station and easy to access by public transport from the airport. We are located at the far end of Vodickova street, house # 10, an entrance into a courtyard between a bar and a shoe store. Also look across from Country Life health food store.

From the Main Train Station:
take tram 9 three stops to the stop Vodickova, walk on left side about 20 meters

From the Holesovice Train Station:
metro line C, 4 stops to Museum, walk down Wenceslas Square, turn left when you hit the tram line. We are on the left side of the street 150 meters from the main square

From Florenc Bus Station:
Hop on metro C - red line, go to stop Museum, get off + walk down Wenceslas Square, turn left in the middle when you hit the tram line and either walk 150m on the left side or take any tram 1 stop to the station Vodickova, then find us on the left

From the Airport:
catch bus 119 to the end, hop on metro - line A (stop Dejvicka), go 4 stops to Mustek, get off in the direction of Vaclavske namesti, find exit to our street called Vodickova. We are located on the left side of the street

At night:
Lazarska is a central stop for all night trams - 50m outside the front door, so you will easily get back home from anywhere in the city

Walk across the oldes European bridge CHARLES BRIDGE, see the clocktower performance at the OLD TOWN SQUARE, check out casinos and stuff at WENCESLAS SQUARE, get arty at MUCHA MUSEUM, learn a bit about our history at the MUSEUM of COMMUNISM, stroll through the smallest, but highest :) cemetery of the JEWISH QUARTER, dance in Duplex, Lavka, Roxy, Radoxt FX, Akropilis, Vertigo or any other of many PRAGUE CLUBS, buy some nice clothes or souveniers at the shopping strip, ge fit in a gym, work on your style and get a nice haircut for nothing, take a swim or go for a BOAT RIDE ...
