About Us

Welcome to the Hostel Die Boofe – situated since 1997 in our famous baroque City Dresden.
“Boofen” means in Saxon language “sleeping”

A “Boofe” is a natural shelter in our Saxon Switzerland, where climbers and hiker get a peaceful and dry place on a stormy moment.

We are your Hostel to explore the highlights of Dresden, like Church of our Lady
(Frauenkirche), Semperoper, Zwinger with many museums, Royal Palace, short trip to Pillnitz, the famous castle on the river Elbe or a daytrip to Meißen and the Saxon Switzerland.
We are located in the multicultural district Dresden – Neustadt with over 130 Bars, Pubs, galleries and small theatres.
You can plan your trips in our Bar, relax in our quiet green garden with BBQ – place or cook in the self-catering kitchen of the Hostel.
A perfect private place for you, backpackers, travellers, cyclists, bikers, families and groups as well!

We offer plenty twin- and double-rooms, four- and five bed-rooms optional with sink and with shower and WC. Spacious private bathrooms with hot showers 24 hrs, are provided on every floor.
In our backyard – house are two rooms suited for the disabled peoples, a twin-bed room and one studio with ensuite bathroom.

You can enjoy a fresh coffee or Dresdner beer with your fellow guests in our Bar, log on to our wireless internet or take a book from the official free bookcrossing zone.
Book on our desk city tours and the nightwalk, rent bicycles, rent a game.

How to Find Us

From station Dresden - Hauptbahnhof take the tram Nb. 7 to the direction Weixdorf and get of the station Bischofsweg, cross the corner and walk to the two railway bridges, the 3rd street right is Hechtstrasse 10.
From the station Dresden Neustadt you walk 10 min to us via the Dr. Friedrich Wolf Strasse and the Dammweg.
