About Us

Mellow Mood Central Hostel is a brand new hostel and a real backpacker's place right in the centre of Budapest, and open all year around!

Our 4, 6 and 8 bedded dormitory rooms are equipped with bunk beds and spacious individual lockers. Important notice: Our triple rooms are basically 4-bedded rooms but offered as 'triple occupancy' for those, whom do not wish to share the room with a 4th person!

Each floor has two large bathrooms (male and female) at the end of the corridor.

We also have a few private twin room, with en-suite shower and toilet.

Our English speaking staff do all they can to make you feel home in Budapest and help you to find your way around. We recommend things to do, places to eat, different sight seeing programs (we even book them for you!) and a lot more!

We are near many points of interest such as Chain Bridge, the famous shopping street Váci utca, the National Museum and the Houses of Parliament.

FOR GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES
We do have limited facilities for guests in wheelchairs, but we ask that they please contact us directly by Email or telephone to discuss their needs and our availability, BEFORE making any fixed bookings.

We also offer special tours and programs:

- bicycle and moped rental and tours around Budapest
- caving under Buda`s hill (including special equipment and professional guide)
- Paintball, quad, outdoor activities (climbing, roping down, running down, 'small tyrolian'....)

How to Find Us

You really cannot BE more downtown than this. We are just 2 minutes walk from the Danube promenade, the famous pedestrian street: Váci utca, the main metro station (Deák Ferenc tér) where the city’s undergrounds lines meet!

From anywhere in town:

From Keleti, take the metro, dircetion DÉLI PU., and get off at the DEAK FERENCE TER.

Exit the metro on to the pedestrian Deák Ferenc utca (right next to Le Meridian Hotel), walk down the street and turn left onto Bécsi utca. The hostel entrance is 50m on the right side of the street.

From the airport:

Hostel's minibus door-to-door service: around 2 000 HUF/person/way (depends on the number of person!!). Please note that you have to book it in advance!
Airport minibus service: around 2 100 HUF/person (it might change each year!)


In order to book your seats on our minibus we need to know the following details:

Name and number of persons:
Date and time of arrival/departure - of the plane (and also the time you wuld be on the aiport when leaving!):
Exact name of the airport - with gate number if possible:
Number of the flights:

The other way: the public transport - it will take time to get in the city!
You need to take the bus to the metro station, the end of the blue line - you cannot miss the direction, and get off at Deák Tér!

From anywhere in town:
