About Us

New hostel located in the heart of Syracuse, Sicily, 50 meters from the train station.

LoLhostel wants to be a base for all low budget backpackers in one of the most beautiful, ancient and charming cities of southern Italy, but also for travellers who like to enjoy private rooms at low cost and in a very friendly context.

Open 24 hours, all year round.

You can choose between 4 beds dorms and private rooms, double, twin or single, all with bathroom and air conditioning (dorms and rooms), and tv (only private rooms), and then join the large common areas with music, games and free use of the kitchen.
You can also rent a bike.

In here you will find international easygoing atmosphere and friendly English speaking staff.
You can also challenge the manager Johnny in darts, and if you beat him he will offer you a beer ;)

How to Find Us

We are in Via Francesco Crispi, which is one of the main streets in Syracuse.

When you come out of the train station go left and after 40 steps you'll see 'Eurialo garage'
LoLhostel is in that building, Via Crispi n.92.

Things to Do around Us

Siracusa is a lively city which offers interesting activities and many archeological site of great interest for the traveller.
The centre of the nightlife is in Ortygia (7 mins. walking from the hostel) whrere you can find restaurants, pubs, and all sort of cultural events.
Tha main site of interest are the Greek Theater, the Roman Amphitheater, the Dionysos Ear, the Cordari’s Cave, the Maniace Castle and the Eurialo Castle; the archaeological zone is very close to the hostel (900 mts).
Every year the National Institute of Ancient Drama (INDA) organizes a cycle of greek tragedies in the ancient theatre, which are a really unique experience.
Siracusa also offers doubtlessly the best beaches of southern Sicily, like Marchesa, Plemmirio, Ognina, Fontane Bianche.
All of them are reachable by bus (bus stop just outside the hostel).

From here you can also easily get to Catania and Mt. Etna (40 min by car/bus), Noto and its world famous baroque (15 Km), Modica and Scicli (40 km), the amazing beaches nearby Siracusa (bus stop outside the hostel), Vendicari Reserve and Marzamemi (20 km)
