About Us

Typical village houses in one of the most beautiful "pueblos blancos" in Andalucia. The first house is on the edge of the village opposite a shady pine forest. Here we offer 2 superb en-suite rooms, one is a double/twin and the other is a double with the option of a third single bed. Our other house is in the centre of the village and is self-catering. It sleeps up to 8 people in 2 double bedrooms, double futon in the lounge and a separate 2 person studio apartment.

El Gastor itself is not your normal "sleepy" mountain village. It is lively and full of fun with over a dozen bars and restaurants. There are also a number of shops, banks, pharmacy, hairdressers etc. and the Olympic msize municipal swimming pool is open during the summer holidays.

We are just 20 minutes north of the historic town of Ronda on the A374 Ronda-Seville road.

Things to Do around Us

El Gastor is the perfect location to base yourself to enjoy the stunning scenery of the nearby Grazalema Natural Park, the Sierra de Ronda and the Sierra de la Nieves. There are loads of outdoor activities available - horse riding, mountain biking, walking and hiking, rock climbing, canyoning and para gliding (the World Championships took place 3 years ago in nearby Algodonales). We are situated just above the shores of Lake Grazalema which is popular for fishing, kayaking and canoeing and swimming in the turquoise waters.?.

Wildlife watching is fantastic: ibex, eagles, griffon vultures and many species of migratory birds. In the spring the abundance of wild flowers (including several indigenous orchids) make any walk or cycle ride a delight.

Furthermore, you could not choose a more central location to enjoy sightseeing in the great Andalucian cities of Jerez, Cadiz, Seville, Granada and Cordoba. Also, not too far away, are the coastal resorts of the Costa del Sol and the unspoilt Costa de la Luz.

All in all, a perfect holiday area for those who wish to experience the real Spain and enjoy its people and the Andalucian way of life.?
