HOSTEL DETAIL
About Us
BARCELONA MAR is 4 years old, learning about the traveller´s needs and wants.
So we are ready to offer our travellers the perfect place to enjoy Barcelona: a place where our travellers can rest and feel with intensity the Barcelona vibe.
Our rooms are mixed, from Twin rooms to those with 4, 6, 8, 10, 14 and 16 beds.
All rooms with heating, A/C, lockers for each traveller, mirror… Our doubles rooms are new. We opened a new area in the Hostel two months ago, just with doubles rooms. Now we can offer all kind of rooms to our travellers, not just share rooms.
But for us the most important thing is that our travellers could see and understand what Barcelona is and what represent for the people who lives here. Barcelona loves to indulge in the fantastic. From the urban carnival that is Las Ramblas to buildings with no straight lines, the city pushes the limits of style in everything it does, and gets away with it. As the center of the whimsical and daring Modernisme architectural movement, Barcelona holds fairy-tale creations that are like no others in the world; as home to three of the most well-known Surrealist painters, Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, and Joan Miró, even the most famous art of Barcelona is grounded in a reality alternative to the one that the rest of us know.
We hope you enjoy this shining city in our friendly hostel
Barcelona is a never ending Dream!!!
How to Find Us
Barcelona Mar, is in the heart of the neighborhood “El Raval", just 5 minutes from Las Ramblas. The most important thing is to arrive at the metro stops Liceu or Paral-lel, both on the green line or line 3 of the metro. As you can see on the map, Liceu and Paral-lel are the metro stops that you should use.
WHEN ARRIVING FROM:
A- BarcelonaAirport or Sants Station
(train & buses)
Coming from the BarcelonaAirport you must catch the train.
There is only one train which is called RENFE. Take it to Sants Station: Barcelona´s central station. Once you are there you need to get the metro system. Catch the green line in the direction of Canyelles and get off at the Paral-lel station.
B- Girona Airport or Estació del Nord (buses)
If you are coming from the Girona Airport , you need to take the bus that brings you to the city of Barcelona/ to the Estació del Nord. This is a 1 hour and 15 minute long trip. Once you are in la Estació del Nord, you will find the red line of the metro (Arc de Triumph Stop). You need to take it to Plaça Catalunya where you change lines. From Placa Catalunya you take the green line direction of Zona Universitaria and get off at Liceu or Paral-lel.
**Recommendations or suggestions:
1. Going to the Barcelona Mar Hostel we suggest you get off at the metro stop
Paral-el, and take the exit Ronda Sant Pau. Once you are in the street you will find the beginning of el Carrer Sant Pau. We are number 80. Be careful because the street called Ronda Sant Pau begins at the same corner, so don’t get confused.
2.Get off at the metro stop Liceu and just when you are in front of the exit, right next to the Theatre Liceu, is where the Street Sant Pau begins. Walk down it, and within five minutes you will find us at number 80.
