HOSTEL DETAIL

About Us

In the 1950's, the old village of Çavuşin was abandoned due to the heavy erosion and rock-falls around the houses. The people from the village had to leave their traditional houses to live in the "new Çavuşin" which was created nearby.

Later the tourism started to develop and there was considerable interest in the old and traditional-style houses once again, we decided to return to the historic life of the village and restore one of the special cave houses into a luxurious and authentic Hotel "The Village Cave"The Village Cave is a really special and memorable place where our guests are treated ?n the most hospitable manner. Our quaint hotel is ?deally s?tuated in the heart of Cappadocia, one of the most unique and natural wonders of the world!

You will find luxury and comfort within the authentic and serene environment of "The Village Cave; our stone walls are full of mysteries of the past! You w?ll be transported to a very calm atmosphere, far away from the stresses of city life for a truly relaxing and memorable stay ?n Cappadoc?a. The views of the original cave formations directly across from the hotel are breathtaking.

This small yet unique quaint hotel, has 6 rooms and all the facilities are made of native rock, some carved out of the rock; all with different stor?es, histories and many memories behind them. The present owner of the hotel, Hal?m Oz is the grandson of the prev?ous owner and was born ?n The V?llage Cave Hotel. Hav?ng spent a l?fet?me ?n such a wonderful and un?que place as Cappadoc?a Hal?m ?s able to prov?de you w?th endless ?nformat?on about the” real s?ghts and sounds of Cappadoc?a”. You will be happy to have chosen this hotel, you w?ll be warmly welcomed along w?th your fam?ly or fr?ends.
As you enter the gardens you w?ll exper?ence the breath taking view of the old town w?th cave homes carved out of a step cl?ff, along w?th your experiences of having slept in a century old rock room or having had breakfast in a rock restaurant will give you unforgettable memories.

The rooms are either totally rock cut rooms or a combination of rock and stone walls; some of which are at the end of a comfortable 30 m. tunnel with a tiny natural spring running in a small open canal at the side.

All the rooms have a natural neutral rock or stone decor, they are Turk?sh ?n style and have typ?cally Turk?sh furn?sh?ngs. Each room has a private bathroom, hair dryer, central heating, telephone, minibar and some have bathtubs and fireplaces. It is possible to add a 3 rd person single bed to all of the rooms and laundry and internet services are available.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the rock cut restaurant in winter and outdoors in summer facing the magnificent view of the St. John the Baptist church in the old town. Breakfast and all meals are prepared from natural village products
