HOSTEL DETAIL
About Us
Unfortunately, we can't all live in Australia with their never ending beaches and perpetual summers. But that's alright because St. Christopher's Hostel in Newquay is the answer to all your sun, sand and surf needs. England's resident surfer's paradise Newquay has 11 beaches stretching over seven miles of sand. And your favourite hostel is beautifully sitting on a cliff overlooking Towan beach, right at the heart of it all.
Each year Newquay is home to the Rip Curl Boardmasters Festival, a week of surf, skates, BMX, bikinis and music. A festival no sun-worshipper wants to miss, but book your beds early because this little seaside town will become overrun.
If you can tear yourself away from your beach towel, Newquay is the ideal base for exploring the mysterious county of Cornwall; following the shoreline you'll find the ruins of Tintagel Castle, the legendary home of Merlin the Magician, Uther Pendragon, King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. The potency of the legends surrounding the place will make a believer out of you, too.
For something a little different there is the ecological Eden Project. Much celebrated for its fascinating interactive world demonstrating the relationship between people and plants - and the full extent of our dependence on plants for our very existence.
How to Find Us
Our Newquay hostel is pearched on the edge of a cliff high above Towan Beach with a perfect view of the sun, surf and sand.
